Local Public is the result of the Local Streaming Initiative, which was a group effort to build the modern streaming infrastructure and apps that local PBS stations need to remain viable in the post-broadcast age.

The effort was led by Cascade PBS, with help (and funding) from our founding partners and the PBS Major Market Group.

The Programming Service provides programming support for over 50 local PBS stations across the country covering 51% of US TV Households. Their team of programmers enrich our PBS catalog with deep metadata (genres, vibes, locale and more).

Community Development Partnership (CDP) is an independent public benefit corporation working on behalf of more than 230 public radio and television stations to share data across the system, analyze fundraising performance, and develop best practices.
